This project involved creating a virtual styling portfolio for a chosen client as part of a styling and image consultancy assignment. The objective was to analyze the client's physical characteristics, including their skin tone and body shape, and use this research to develop styling recommendations that would enhance their natural features while remaining authentic to their personal style.

A key part of the research process involved conducting a client questionnaire to gain insight into their lifestyle, fashion preferences, shopping habits, and the garments they wear most often. This helped ensure that the styling recommendations were not only visually effective but also practical and reflective of the client's personality and comfort.

Through colour analysis, I learned how different shades interact with various skin tones and how colour can be used to create balance, contrast, and visual impact. By studying body proportions and silhouettes, I gained a deeper understanding of how garment shapes can complement different body types and influence the overall appearance of an outfit.

The project required compiling a range of complete looks tailored specifically to the client, supported by research and visual references. I also sourced garments and accessories from retailers where the client could purchase the recommended items or find similar alternatives. This strengthened my research, trend analysis, sourcing, and styling skills while teaching me how to approach fashion from a client-centered perspective.

More importantly, this assignment introduced me to the world of fashion styling and became a turning point in my creative journey. It opened my eyes to styling as both a profession and a form of storytelling, showing me how clothing can be used to communicate personality, identity, and confidence. The experience sparked my passion for styling and laid the foundation for many of the creative projects I have pursued since.
